Music Lessons
Piano
Piano Lessons are offered year round, allowing for winter break over Christmas through New Year, and during Spring holidays. All ages are welcome. Instruction is always tailored to meet the individual student's goals and learning style. All methods incorporate a solid foundation in music theory and stylistic technique.
Preschool children are accepted for individual lessons in a specialized program that requires parental involvement. The children develop their sense of rhythm and their ear for music while learning finger technique and enjoying making music on the piano. Please contact me for more information about enrolling your preschool child.
In addition to traditional piano lessons, I teach contemporary improvisation, sometimes called Recreational Piano, for keyboardists. You can learn to play your favorite songs from a lead sheet whether your goal is to join a worship team at church a secular band, or just to play for your own relaxation.
I offer 30 minute weekly lessons. 45 - 60 minute lessons can be arranged for advanced students.
Monthly payments are required September through May. June-August, charges are per lesson only to accommodate flexible summer schedules.

Communication
I encourage parental involvement and make every effort to keep an open line of communication in regard to progress and satisfaction.
Practice
At home practice time is necessary and required for successful lessons and steady progress. I will help with daily practice tips and guide students about how much time is needed each week. The amount of practice recommended will vary based on the age and level of the student.
Performance
Recitals, competitions and performance opportunities are available to all students
(not required) several times a year, including a Spring Recital when awards are presented.
Fun
I know that an interest in piano and singing may be what first brings you here – but having fun is what keeps you learning! My goal is for every student to LOVE their music lessons as they embark on a rewarding journey.
